Fishing in Oisans (Circuit n°18)

Canoeing, kayaking, paddling, white-water sports and fishing are prohibited on the Vénéon between La Bérarde and the Plan du Lac dam.

High-altitude lakes, torrents, rivers - the Oisans region is all about water. Many accessible streams are teeming with wild trout, but the high flow of most torrents can make fishing a sport!

The lakes are not to be outdone. At Alpe d'Huez, Lac Besson, under the watchful eye of the Grandes Rousses massif, abounds in trout of all kinds and magnificent char. The same goes for Les 2 Alpes at Lac du Plan, the Vénéon valley at Lac du Lauvitel and the Eau d'Olle valley.

La Rive in Bourg d'Oisans, one of the purest rivers in France, has a fly course for fans of this challenging sport. Children haven't been forgotten either: the Lac des Bergers at Alpe d'Huez is the perfect place to introduce them to the sport.
