A valley with a lot of potential for ski touring
The Eau d’Olle Valley will stay with you: so many possibilities, so much beauty! The itineraries stretch all the way from Allemond village to the Col de la Croix de Fer mountain pass, from the mountains of the Belledonne Massif to those of the Grandes Rousses Massif.
The sharp peaks of Belledonne are particularly inviting! On the Oisans side, there are several ski in/ski out departure points from Eau d’Olle Valley.
The peak, the Grand Pic de Belledonne almost reaches an altitude of 3000m. Its appearance can sometimes be compared to the Fitz Roy in Patagonia or the Black Virgin in Vietnam. A natural barrier, kingdom of shale, gneiss (and a bit of granite of course), Belledonne is one of the wildest mountains in France.
