The road up to the village resort of Vaujany goes through charming traditional hamlets.
As soon as you start your climb, from the hamlet of Verney (after which the lake is named), you’ll feel like you’re visiting old mountain villages. Houses are dotted along the road, including old converted farmhouses and new chalets built in the traditional Alpine way along the original road up to La Villette.
