The starting sign is located in front of the snack bar La Gardette at the entrance of Villard Notre Dame. A forest path will bring you quietly to the intermediate point named La Gardette at 1200m of altitude.

On the second part, the path goes from a forest sector to scree passages, not recommended for novices. Rock fall signs in both directions are well positioned, be careful.

The path ends along a last valley and arrives on the Rte de Villard Notre Dame. Be careful, the path continues on your right below, a small yellow directional sign informs you.

The path passes in a forest of Scots pine. The marking is rather indecisive, that's why, the itinerary to follow will always be the one marked with a yellow sign.

You will arrive on the road towards Le Vert and can rest on the bench at the intersection. You will be located at 15mn from the center of Le Bourg d'Oisans by continuing on your right or at 15mn from the Blue Lake by taking on your left.
