Whichever one you choose, you’ll be entering into the secret and welcoming Lignarre Valley, a place where the authentic lifestyle of the mountains can be seen wherever you go. With the small hamlets dotted around the steep mountainsides of the valley, a far cry from the popular tourist resorts, there are plenty of secret spots to discover in Lignarre.
Taillefer, Grand Renaud, Col d’Ornon… Here are some of the departure points available!
Taillefer stands at 2857m, offering a superb view of Grenoble, the Ecrins mountains and Le Dévoluy. Due to the lack of visitors here, the snow remains untouched for a long time, and ski-touring enthusiasts know that at Taillefer there are endless possibilities for this activity!
As for the Grand Renaud, you can explore the cirque and the small village of Villard-Reymond inside, or why not opt for the small family resort of Col d’Ornon with some great freerando itineraries, or some routes that will take you over to the neighbourings mountains, without too much effort.
