About : Wood carving & sensory hikes in the mountains
Awaken bodily perception through walking, observation and sculpture
More of a walk than a hike, the climb to the refuge under the expertise and support of Caroline de Klerk, mountain guide, will be a gradual and intimate dive into the nature of the Parc des Ecrins. The key word: take your time ... to meet the mountains, the vegetation, and especially the trees. An introduction to living wood before carving it.
Set on a belvedere 1,800 m in a bucolic valley, the Refuge de l'Alpe du Pin offers all the magic of the Parc des Ecrins in an environment conducive to creativity. A real haven of peace, the wardens magnify the place with their benevolence and their tasty cuisine based on healthy products. A precious moment, the night in a refuge brings back to a simple life and unites the members of the group for a timeless experience.
From the afternoon and the next morning of the night in a refuge, we still take our time to rest for a moment of tranquility, then to perceive our way of moving before approaching the green wood sculpture. Safety, use of knives and other blades, then basic techniques are on the program. Then, it's up to you to carve your spoon that you will take with you.
Through this experience, we link awareness, presence and action to then transfer them into daily life
