Villar-d’Arène, located at the foot of the Col du Lautaret, is an unspoiled, traditional village, true to its mountain roots. The Fête du Pain Boulli is celebrated in November each year using the village’s communal bread oven.
In the winter, during the school holidays, there are a number of nocturnal events held around the Nordic skiing area. whilst in the summer, the spotlight is on heritage, visits and festivals! In the hamlet of Arsine, you can visit the old grain mill, but the main event, not to be missed in July, is “Villar d’Arène est en fête”, featuring a host of entertainment in the village square.
