The waters of Chambon Lake have graced the Romanche Gorges since 1935… The fantastic shades of emerald blue can be seen from the valley, at the foot of Mizoën.

Since the leisure complex reopened in 2018, you can once again give in to the desire to relax on the water’s edge and enjoy the view of the lake.
Once you arrive on the shores of Chambon, you’ll be taken aback by the stillness…
You’ll feel protected by the mountains, lulled by the lapping waters and spoiled on the terrace by the owners of this little slice of heaven.

So come on down to the shores of the lake and the “cabane”… You’ll have a great day trying out the leisure activities on offer, relaxing on the water’s edge and enjoying a nice cold drink!

For the perfect combo, Yannick and Jeremy created this restaurant and snack bar, open lunchtimes and evenings, serving pizzas from a wood-fired oven, salads, antipasti and much more. A selection that will make your mouth water!

The leisure complex

After 11 years of not being able to make use of this lake very easily, 2 great fans of this place managed to make it possible and bring their childhood memories back to life. After several months of renovation work, Yannick and his cousin Jeremy opened “La Cabane au Bord du Lac“.

The leisure complex is a little slice of heaven, ideal for relaxing and enjoyment, surrounded by the water and greenery. A “relaxation” area on the shores of the lake (with seats taken from old pedalos!) overlooks the jetty for leisure activities: paddle-board, canoe/kayak and pedalo boats are available to hire. Other activities include yoga, badminton, petanque and slackline…
