Hotels have changed a good deal since the 1920s and the opening of the first chalets for tourists!
Having started by renting out their barns, local farmers quickly sought to refurbish bedrooms for holidaymakers. The Grand Hôtel was the first hotel to open in 1930 and since then, no fewer than 20 other establishments have opened:
