This route runs close to the Brandes Archaeological Site, a former mining village where silver was mined in the 12th century. In this region of pastureland, you will also encounter herds of sheep. On reaching the Col de Sarenne, you will be rewarded with a stunning view of the Plateau d’Emparis and la Meije with its glaciers.
