La Grave is a skiing area… that isn’t really a skiing area.
A huge off-piste area, the only one of its kind in Europe, where you can let our skis lead the way!
2 small groomed slopes on the glacier and that’s it, for the rest you’re free to do as you please, from the top of a cable car that is just as well known as the ski area it serves.

Ski freeride à La Grave – La Meije
At La Grave, no plethora of cable cars spoiling the scenery, but just the Téléphériques des Glaciers de la Meije and a few ski lifts. No luxury accommodation, but rather comfortable hotels. No huge holiday centre, but a family-run chalet and a few gites. No shopping mall, but rather traditional shops.
