Concert PNEVMATIKO

Rebetiko is a popular, urban Greek form of musical expression that emerged in the early 20th century. These are heartfelt songs about the joys and sorrows of life. Played in the taverns of Athens' ports at the time, they have stood the test of time and continue to accompany the Greek people to this day.

Created in 2018 in the Chambéry region, the project takes up and rearranges the rebetiko and laiko repertoire, popular music from the 1920s-1960s, with the aim of immersing the audience in the atmosphere of the original performers. In 2023, the musical project evolves and proposes a more modern and amplified version of its repertoire thanks to original compositions mixing African ternary, Balkan dances, but also rock and electronic music.
