In an outstanding location with five 300-year-old linden trees, this gite is a former presbytery renovated in 1987 and offering 360° views over the Taillefer, Col d’Ornon and the Grandes Rousses.

About : Les Filons – Gîte

Located at the foot of the Taillefer plateau and overlooking the Ornon valley, this is an excellent base camp for enjoying the mountains in both summer and winter, or simply getting together with family or friends, or simply for an overnight stay if you are cycling or walking.
Accommodating up to 15 guests, the gite rents out individual rooms or can be rented in its entirety for weekends or full weeks, either self-catering or with meals provided if booked in advance.

INSIDE
The gite is a former presbytery renovated 30 years ago and improved over the years to create a typically Alpine atmosphere. The large 65 m² living room is perfect for getting together with all the other guests. There is also an open-plan kitchen, two large tables seating 15, a lounge corner with a fireplace for reading, playing, chatting and drawing up plans for the next day. The bedrooms are upstairs, with 15 guests sleeping in rooms of four beds maximum (sheets and quilts available). There are two bathrooms with three showers and three toilets.
The gite has a winter entrance for storing sports equipment. A large wood-burning stove heats the house, as well as drying your equipment when you come back from skiing, hiking or cycling. The living room overlooks the Ornon valley and the Taillefer mountains and you can enjoy the marvellous views from the terrace.
A full range of tourist guides, maps, walking guides and ski resort maps are available just in case you are short of ideas and you can also benefit from advice from the Mountain Guide living on site.
