Oisans is the ideal destination for cyclists
Oisans is a region that stretches across the French departments of Isère and Hautes-Alpes, and is the perfect destination for cyclists looking for a great experience… Yes, there are some steep climbs, but isn’t that why cyclists come here in the first place?!
So WHY is oisans so popular with cyclists?
First of all, thanks to the superb high mountain landscapes here, coupled with a topography that makes this the ideal place to challenge any cyclist. The climbs, including the famous 21 bends of Alpe d’Huez, are challenging and there are so many mountain passes leading both in and out of Oisans. You’ll already have heard some of the names: Col du Glandon, Col de la Croix de Fer, Col du Galibier, Col du Lautaret, Col d’Ornon, to name but a few.
