In the glaciers of Les 2 Alpes (Circuit n°13)

This almost 44 km circuit start in Bourg d'Oisans.

Between heaven and earth, this excursion allows you to see the soul of Oisans: the ‘haute montagne’.

Don’t forget to take a sweater with you, as even in summer, at an altitude of 3,000m, the North wind can blow up. Buy your ticket at the ski lift ticket office, and take the cable car up to the underground funicular, Le Dôme Express. A snow subway dug under the glacier in 1989.

Don’t miss the visit to the ↘ice cave (grotte de glace).At 3200, at the top of the Jandri Express cable car and under hundreds of cubic metres of age-old ice, you can admire the amazing sculptures made of ice. A strange atmosphere reigns in this blue-tinted and silent universe.

Take this opportunity to test the new footbridge "Le Belvedere des Ecrins": a narrow metal bridge stretched above the void (1400 m high) at 3400 m altitude. Thrill-seekers will be delighted!

To warm up, once back in the valley, you are spoilt for choice: either a splash in the pool, or a walk along the ↘Lac de la Buissonnière or a stroll through the streets of the resort.
