Botanical and heritage hike around Lautaret with the Hotel le Faranchin

It is here from the Col du Lautaret that you will let yourself be seduced by the delicate scent of the alpine flora. It is during your hikes that you will have the opportunity to discover the famous Lautaret botanical garden, but also the village of Villar d'Arène, the fountains, and much more...

Your guide will share his knowledge of the geology of this fabulous corner with you, to understand our endemic species and the practices of our elders who make up our mountain traditions!

The hikes offered during this stay are without great difficulty. A gentle walk to the rhythm of contemplative breaks, to take the time to discover and learn about the local flora and heritage.

Program of your stay:

1st day: Arrival at the hotel.
From 3 p.m., you can settle in your room. You will then be invited at the end of the afternoon, to join an aperitif, which will be an opportunity to meet your guide during this stay.

2nd day: The marmots of the Alpe 2070m
From Arsine, you will start your day with the passage of the Pas d'Anna Falque glacial lock, by the gr54 "tour d'Oisans". From the exit of this lock, a magnificent view will be offered to you. This will be the time to observe this small mammal emblematic of the Alps. Panorama of the Lambs to La Meije. The return will be via the Rif de la Planche and the Voutes.

Elevation: approximately 370m. 3 to 4 hours of effective walking / duration of the day: 6/7 hours.

3rd day: The forest trail 1738m
This circuit in the forest will allow you to discover a "beautiful Mélézin" with a return to the right bank of the Romanche, by the Vernois and the search for "fool's gold".
Elevation: 270m approximately 1h30 to 2h of effective walking / duration of the day approximately 3h30.

4th day: Red Coast Loop 2277m
It is a contemplative loop, located opposite La Meije and its glaciers. A passage to start in the forest up to the Col des Plagnes 2106m. The return will be via the high hamlet of Les Clots and its balcony path.

Elevation: 420m approximately 3/4h of effective walking / duration of the day 6/7h.

5th day: Pontet loop - Col Aiguillon 2060m
A walk that will take you to the very beautiful lake then by a balcony path to the pass and the summit of the Aiguillon, with a view of the Romanche valley.
Elevation: 220m approximately 2 hours of effective walking / duration of the day approximately 6/7 hours.

6th day: Valfourche and the sources of the Romanche 2150m
The day will begin with the passage of the glacial lock of Pas d'Anna Falque in order to lead to the plan d'Alpe. You will follow this long flat as far as Valfourche and its view of the glacial cirque of the Tombe Murée.
Picnic on the flat springs or Valfourches.
Elevation: 350m approximately 3 to 4 hours of effective walking / duration of the day approximately 7 hours.



7th day: The end of the trip. Departure is after breakfast.
