January, march and april 2022

Pourchery is a charming little mountain hamlet, just 3 km from the village of Vaujany. It is a family-friendly resort with a range of leisure activities, and is the setting for your vast but cosy guest house. A free shuttle service will take you to Vaujany and the ski resort connected to Alpe d’Huez. This little resort has developed at the heart of the old village, while ensuring that the village hasn’t lost its charm. It has been providing the perfect blend of tradition and modernity since 1989. Today, it has just as much to offer as the big resorts, thanks to a big indoor swimming pool and ice rink, bowling alley, fitness centre, spa, indoor climbing wall and much more.

Your accommodation, Solneige chalet

Since the very beginnings of the resort, Solneige has always been one of the chalets that still offers the traditional warm sense of hospitality of the mountains. Thérèse and Pieter settled into village life here very quickly thanks to their kind and caring nature, with which they renovated an ancient traditional farm, in very good taste. Over the years, they continue to ensure that the rooms offer the very best in comfort, one of which is a suite for 4 people, and they work hard to bring out the magical chalet atmosphere. The chalet is south facing with a clear view of the Lac du Verney. Just picture yourselves chatting around the fire in the beautiful, vaulted living area, or relaxing in the jacuzzi. You’ll find everything you need for a great holiday with the girls! As for the meals, you’re in for a treat thanks to the hearty breakfasts, afternoon tea with tea and homemade cakes, and the delicious dinners with a touch of international cuisine!

Female ski coach for a group of women

The idea of a ‘girls’ ski camp’ also means specialised coaching based on the needs of women… We all know that men and women have their differences! Barbara has noticed that as far as skiing goes, women are usually looking to master the control of their skis, and want to feel more confident with their technique to be able to enjoy the experience. Because you know your friends so well, having skiing lessons together is a great way to progress, and an activity that combines exercise, new discoveries and relaxation. Women also tend to encourage one another, turning skiing into a team sport!

Relaxation especially for women

Skiing is a strenuous activity, so the body needs some pampering before getting back out on the slopes the next day. And who better than Barbara, your ski instructor, to know exactly which muscles need special care and attention? A 30-minute massage will allow you to relax and let your body recover and recharge its batteries. The next day, your après-ski activity will be yoga, which is ideal for helping to relieve muscular tension. Yoga Viniyasa is quite an active form of yoga with a series of poses that focus on core strength and then meditation to calm your mind.

Hélico Alpe d'Huez / 2 Alpes

Charlie’s angels helicopter ride to les 2 Alpes!

This helicopter trip from Alpe d’Huez to Les 2 Alpes and back is an exceptional experience. Once again, Barbara takes care of everything, from taking you to the altiport in Alpe d’Huez to then skiing down the Girose glacier at an altitude of 3,600 m! Enjoy lunch in a mountain restaurant facing Mont Blanc, and then sunbathe out on the terrace, what more could you ask for? And the absolute highlight of this special day for your group of VIPs will be the return journey by helicopter, when you’ll be feeling the exhaustion of a great day skiing, combined with the breath-taking views of the Oisans peaks.

Bergerie du Pays - Pelotte de laine

Soft merino wool at the sheep farm in Vaujany…

Marie and Timothée are young sheep farmers, breeders and producers of 100% Merino wool. They spend the winter at their sheep farm in Vaujany and the summer up on the summer pastures in Oisans. Working wool is all about passion and technique. There are several steps to follow, including washing, spinning and carding. That is why much too often the wool is discarded by breeders, but in Oisans that doesn’t apply to Marie… She will explain to you how she works this fine, very soft, supple and tough wool, and how it gets from her sheep to the clothes on your back. You’ll see that her work is in fact a ‘good deed’, on the one hand for the sheep who have a weight lifted off their backs, and on the other hand, for you, with your very own soft and comforting shawl…
