Alpe d'Huez Grand Domaine - ski

The Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine Ski covers Alpe d’Huez and 5 resorts and villages that have kept the charm of traditional mountain villages, namely Auris-en-Oisans, La Garde-en-Oisans, Oz-en-Oisans, Vaujany, Villard-Reculas and Le Freney d’Oisans.

It’s a huge playground, totalling a surface area of 10,000 ha. In addition to the 250 km of downhill skiing runs, it offers numerous snowshoeing and cross-country trails: 35 km of snowshoeing trails, 20 ski lifts accessible to pedestrians and 55 km of cross-country skiing (both classic and skate skiing) in 6 loops.
Other highlights include Le Pic Blanc (3 300m) with its view over one-fifth of France, awarded 3 stars in the Michelin guide, and the Sarenne run. Opened in 1976, this 16 km run from Le Pic Blanc down to the Gorges de Sarennes (1510 m is one of the longest in the world. It is also the starting point of many off-piste runs.
