The Maison des Alpages is located in the heart of the village of Besse. It is an important, local tourist centre that puts on a number of exhibitions and events throughout the year, including entertaining exhibitions that depict changes in agropastoralism in Oisans, the work of shepherds, transhumance, pastureland and the landscape of the Ferrand Valley.




Description: Pastures Museum
The museographic area features a fun, interactive approach to pastoral life and there are also several temporary exhibitions. It organizes visits to alpine pastures to meet shepherds, together with various artistic workshops.
The museum is a member of the "Route des Savoir-Faire de l'Oisans" and organize a guided visit of Besse.
