150 years of the CLub Alpin Français

A 150-year retrospective of an iconic mountain club

About : 150 years of the CLub Alpin Français

Founded on August 27 1874 by Charles LORY (you've probably already heard of the Brèche and Pic LORY between La Barre des Ecrins and the Dôme des Ecrins), the Club Alpin Grenoble Isère will soon be 150 years old, and CAFGI has teamed up with its predecessor CAFGO to celebrate the occasion in style. Few clubs can boast of being 150 years old and still going strong. Together, the two clubs have more than 4,000 members, and offer a full range of mountain sports (mountaineering, climbing, hiking, canyoning, mountain biking, skiing in all its forms, caving. Trail, Nordic Walking, ...) while respecting the environment. From June 1 to September 31 at the St Christophe en Oisans museum, guest books and photos of yesterday and today...
