Trésors de la nature : de la cueillette à l’assiette

Two days outside and in the kitchen, learning how to identify local plants and how to cook them for a delicious wild meal!

About : Trésors de la nature : de la cueillette à l’assiette

Why don't you get to know what nature offers you every day?
In early summer, when vegetation is at its blooming best, we suggest we go out together to look for the edible plants of the season!
Using a sensory approach (sight, touch, smell), we will learn how to identify them with certainty and tell them apart from possible toxic cousins. You can also learn about basic botany and the properties of the plants encountered and their various uses. This fun and relaxed approach means that everyone will learn something, whatever their starting level.
We will pick some of them, which we will then cook during the Sunday morning cooking workshop, to prepare a complete wild meal* (aperitif, starter, main course and dessert), which will be nutritious, tasty and original. It will then be time to sit down at the table and enjoy this meal together in a friendly atmosphere!
*ingredients from our own picking and from organic sources.

The time spent together throughout these 2 days will also be an opportunity to address the issues raised by picking wild plants, including precautions, safety instructions, the place of humans in nature and respect for living things.

Caroline does her utmost to ensure that the activities she organises take place in optimal conditions! Her measures include hand sanitiser at the beginning of the outing / workshop + available throughout if necessary - visors provided for each participant (for those who prefer them instead of a mask). The visor is less awkward and also allows you to smell the plants, which is important for identification. The visors are disinfected after each event. For the outings: botanical magnifying glasses are provided for each participant (no longer a single shared magnifying glass), which are collected at the end of the outing and disinfected. For the cooking and painting workshops, equipment is disinfected between each workshop. There is no lending of equipment between participants, so bring what you think you need (notebook, pen, tape, apron, etc.). Social distancing will be respected between participants.
